Civitavecchia's terminal container is managed by Roma Terminal Container S.p.A., and it's located in the middle of Italy and Mediterranean. This position and the railway connection allow the port to be close to Rome industrial area and the inland area of Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany.

Civitavecchia Fruit & Forest Terminal (CFFT)
The terminal of CFFT SpA is ideally located inside the port of Civitavecchia, at quay 24 and 25. CFFT SpA is a 3PL company for the handling, storage and distribution throughout the whole of Italy and the Western Mediterranean region of food products, FFV (fresh fruit and vegetables) with in particular bananas and pineapples. As such, CFFT can meet all logistic and customs requirements of the market – including storage (chilled and frozen) of non-EU goods.
Maersk Line operates a container service for the transport of Chiquita bananas between Ecuador and the Mediterranean. A ship every week that after having touched the Spanish port of Algesiras, enters in the Mediterranean making port of call in the order to Vado Ligure, Civitavecchia and Naples.
